Teen Injured In Groveton Malicious Wounding: Police
Police say the victim was injured when a fight broke out between two groups of teens.

GROVETON, VA—Police are seeking a suspect for a malicious wounding in Groveton Tuesday afternoon.
Around 3:35 p.m., the 18-year-old victim was walking with friends in the 2700 block of Popkins Lane when another group of teens approached. A fight broke out between the groups. The teens fled when two adults witnessing the fight started walking over.
The injured teen rode away on his bicycle when someone driving by stopped and took him to the hospital. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not identify a possible motive for the fight or if any weapons were involved.
The suspect for the malicious wounding is described as a 16-year old Hispanic teenager around 5 foot 3 to 5 foot 5 with his hair in a bun.
