Thanksgiving Thieves Nabbed Near Mount Vernon

Police believe two boys stole about $300 in items from Walmart on Thanksgiving.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA—It was not an uneventful start to the Black Friday shopping for at least one Walmart in Fairfax County. Police arrested two juvenile boys after a theft at the Hybla Valley Walmart.

It was around 7:50 p.m. on Thanksgiving when the boys made away with about $300 in merchandise. Police were able to chase and catch the suspects.

Charges of larceny against the suspects are expected.

Burglary/Destruction: 5700 block of Biscayne Drive, 11/25/17 around 1:50 p.m.Someone broke the front door and entered the residence. Nothing was taken from the residence. The case is ongoing.

Robbery: 3800 block of Laramie Place, 11/25/17 around 6:15 p.m. A man was approached by someone who displayed a weapon and ran off with his phone, wallet and keys. The suspect was described as a black man between 18 and 25, around 6 feet tall, and 170 pounds. The victim did not require medical attention.

Larceny: 2600 block of Arlington Drive, gun from vehicle

Larceny: 2800 block of Groveton Street, firearm from residence
