Tour De Mount Vernon Highlights Local Landmarks
The third annual bike ride will have two route options with highlights like Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House.

FORT HUNT, VA—Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck will host the third annual Tour de Mount Vernon on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. The bike ride will be held at Fort Hunt Park (8999 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria) and feature landmarks from around the district.
There will be two route options: an approximately 17-mile ride and a 32-mile ride. The race will be on paved roads and trails. Both routes start and end at Fort Hunt Park at 8:30 a.m.
Fairfax County Police and volunteers will be on hand to safely monitor riders along the way.

Among the highlights on the ride will include:
- Fort Hunt Park
- Mount Vernon Trail
- Mount Vernon District Park
- George Washington's Mount Vernon
- George Washington's Gristmill and Distillery
- Woodlawn & Frank Lloyd Wright’s Pope-Leighey House
- Woodlawn Park
- Mount Vernon Woods Park
- Gum Springs Museum and Cultural Center
After the ride, there will be food, drinks, music and prizes.
