Undated Deli Foods: Greater Alexandria Restaurant Violations

GREATER ALEXANDRIA, VA — Fairfax County regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Here are some of the violations from Greater Alexandria inspections in August. Among the violations were deli meats and cheeses with questionable expiration dates at Cocorea Deli in Springfield. The violation was corrected during the inspection.

Saigon City: 6333 Brandon Avenue, Springfield, VA 22150, last inspection: Aug. 18

violations: noodles, rice cold holding at improper temperatures, supplies with water damage in basement due to leaking pipe (both corrected) display cooler not operating properly
