West Potomac Coach Resigns Amid Hazing Investigation
Accusations of hazing and sexual abuse against West Potomac baseball players could result in charges.

West Potomac High School's baseball coach has resigned as Fairfax County Police are investigating hazing and sexual abuse claims against players on the team.
A Fairfax County Public Schools spokesperson told The Washington Post Coach Jim Sullivan's resignation is not tied to the hazing investigation. A letter from Principal Tangy Millard to families said the resignation “stems from a difference of opinion related to the future direction of the baseball program.”
It was his 13th year serving as head coach. Assistant varsity Jason Hescock will take over the role for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile Fairfax County Police and the Commonwealth's Attorney are deciding if players will face charges, WTOP reported. There is no indication of when charges will be announced.
FCPS had announced in March it was investigating allegations against players. The district's own investigation resulted in disciplinary action. Student disciplinary records will not be released.

The school district has revealed little about the specific allegations, other than they involved "harassment and other inappropriate behavior” and happened on school property, The Post reported in March.
