Woman's Throat Cut While Walking Dog in Alexandria

A 55-year-old woman was walking her dog in Alexandria when a man approached her and cut her throat.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Police are looking for an unknown suspect that wounded a woman with a knife in the Fairfax County area of Alexandria Wednesday night.

Around 10:40 p.m., the 55-year-old woman was walking her dog at the 5500 block of Seminary Road when a man approached her from behind and cut her throat. The unknown suspect fled on a bike. The victim was treated for a minor injury and was released from the hospital.

The unknown suspect is described as a 17 to 19-year-old Hispanic and is short and thin. He was wearing a gray, zip-up sweatshirt and camo shorts.
