Yellow Line Service Will Not Run This Weekend

Metro riders will need to take shuttle buses or alternatives to the Yellow Line on the weekend.

HUNTINGTON, VA—Metro's Yellow Line service will not run the weekend of April 21-22 due to inspections and maintenance work. Workers will be inspecting the Yellow Line bridge and exhaust fans, as well as work on switch fastener and stud renewal.

Riders can utilize shuttle buses to the Blue Line or park at a Blue Line station. Free shuttle buses will operate between Huntington, Eisenhower Avenue and King Street. Riders should plan for 15 minutes of travel time for each station stop.

All other lines except Orange will have operate with weekend adjustments. Riders should expect Red Line trains every 28 minutes with single tracking between Farragut North and Union Station.

Blue Line trains will be single tracking between Addison Road and Morgan Boulevard and Green Line between Southern Avenue and Naylor Road. Silver line operates at weekend intervals with eastbound trains going to New Carrollton.
