• Harrisonburg: Teen shot, two others arrested, in B&E on Vine Street (augustafreepress.com) — A 19-year-old was seriously wounded in a shooting during an alleged break-in Tuesday on Vine Street in Harrisonburg, and police say the teen is now in stable condition. A juvenile is charged in the breaking and entering, and an 18-year-old was arrested at the Howard Johnson on East Market Street on felony drug distribution charges as the investigation continues.
   

• Regional Animal Health Lab in Harrisonburg is expanding (rocktownnow.com) — Harrisonburg's Regional Animal Health Laboratory is getting a major expansion as part of a $13.1 million statewide upgrade to Virginia's animal disease‑testing network. Construction will add about 8,800 square feet for advanced testing while the lab stays open, strengthening food safety, livestock health, and public‑health monitoring for farmers, veterinarians, and pet owners across the Valley.
