$147K From Virginia Lottery For Herndon Man With 30 Winning Tickets
Benjamin Shuler of Herndon bought 30 winning tickets in the Virginia Lottery's Pick 4 drawing on March 28, earning him $147,000.

HERNDON, VA — All 30 tickets Benjamin Shuler of Herndon had bought in the Virginia Lottery's Pick 4 drawing on March 28 were all winners, according to a lottery release.
Shuler's cousin called him shortly after midnight to tell him they'd both won in that night's drawing, because they'd each used the same four-digital combination: 0-8-1-6.
While his cousin had purchased just one ticket, Shuler had used the numbers on all 30 tickets he'd purchased for the March 28 drawing. Twenty-nine tickets won the game's top prize of $5,000. With the remaining ticket, Shuler wagered only 50 cents instead of $1, so that ticket earned him $2,500. In total, he won $147,000.
