Confederate Flag Hurts Stewart's Support In Governor's Race
Five elected Republican officials in Prince William County have endorsed Ed Gillespie for Virginia governor over colleague Corey Stewart, chair of the county's Board of Supervisors. Two of the supervisors told WTOP Stewart's stance on the Confederate flag and use of the symbol at campaign events cost Stewart their support, and that constituents had expressed concerns over Stewart's positions, particularly on the Confederate flag.

Metro 'Sick-Out' is a Huge Bust: Report
A threatened "sick-out" by Metro workers didn't materialize at all on Friday, and in fact there were fewer absences than usual, according to a report. The number of employees calling with unscheduled absences for the morning rush hour was less than two dozen, which is less than a normal day.

Should Mothers Breastfeed In Public? Readers Respond
A breastfeeding mother being asked to leave church services at Summit Church in Springfield has ignited a debate about breastfeeding in public places. Annie Peguero, a mother of two from Dumfries, said in a Facebook Live video she was breastfeeding during Summit Church services when a woman urged her to go to the baby room because it might make new and male churchgoers uncomfortable. Reader Ruby Jackson said, "I breast fed both of my children, but I also respected the fact that a blanket goes a long way in some circumstances."
Kit and Ace — the high-end athleisure store started by Lululemon founder and ex-CEO — is closing all of it's 32 U.S. stores, according to Racked. This includes the two DC locations on M Street and 8th Street. The retailer specializes in technical cashmere and luxury athleisure clothing meant for people to wear in and outside of the gym.
