Chesterbrook Academy Holds Food Drive for Loudoun Hunger Relief

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Sterling collected more than 430 food items for local children supported by the organization

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Woodshire Drive in Sterling recently donated more than 430 food items to Loudoun Hunger Relief. Over the past month, students held a food drive to benefit local children supported by the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.

Loudoun Hunger Relief, Loudoun’s leader in food assistance, has been serving the Loudoun community since 1991. Last year, Loudoun Hunger Relief distributed 2.6 million pounds of food to families and individuals in Loudoun County. Of those served, 40 percent are children and another 11 percent are senior citizens. Residents in need can visit twice per month and receive enough food to create three meals for three days for each household member.
