Herndon's June 23 Friday Night Live Concert Canceled Due To Rain

Herndon's weekly summer concert series Friday Night Live! has canceled this Friday's performance due to heavy rain.

HERNDON, VA — Friday night's scheduled performance of Junkfood as part of the weekly Friday Night Live! concert series in Herndon has been canceled.

"Due to the expectation of continuing rain, we are cancelling Friday Night Live! for tonight," said Laura Poindexter, chairman of Friday Night Live! in alert sent out on Friday. "We were hoping the skies would clear up a bit but it is unlikely so we've decided to allow the band, vendors, and our volunteers to plan accordingly rather than invest their time and resources into prepping for an event that will not happen."

Despite the rain, Poindexter noted that concert-goers could still dine in at or order from Friday Night Live's food vendors and sponsors: Dairy Queen, Domino's, Jimmy's Old Town Tavern, Toriz's Tacos, Mile 20 at Mediterranean Breeze, and Ned Devine's Irish Gastro Pub & Restaurant.
