The bones were found near a nature walk path that is part of the Little Difficult Run Stream Valley Park. They were determined Monday to be human (not animal) by the Virginia Office of the Medical Examiner, according to police. Police and the medical examiner are working to determine how long the bones have been at that location, as well as the identity of the remains and the cause of death.
