• Herndon Resident Indicted On Federal Child Pornography Distribution Charge (patch.com) — Herndon residents are learning that a neighbor has been federally indicted after an undercover FBI investigation allegedly traced child sexual abuse material to a home on Denmark Drive. Agents say they found illicit images on a cellphone during an August 13 search, and the suspect, now under high-intensity supervision, faces a distribution charge while remaining presumed innocent as the case proceeds in Washington, D.C. court.

• Witness describes possible road rage before fatal U.S. 15 crash (heraldmailmedia.com) — A driver from Herndon was allegedly involved in a fatal crash on U.S. 15 in Maryland that killed another motorist, according to Maryland State Police. Investigators are looking at possible road rage after 911 callers described aggressive driving before the collision. The Herndon man has not been charged in Maryland but is being held in Virginia as a fugitive from justice.
