Police Release Sketch of Robbery Suspect

Unidentified individual wanted for Jan. 22 attempted heist.

The Herndon Police Department has released a sketch of the suspect in a Jan. 22 attempted robbery, and it’s asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The incident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on the sidewalk of Elden Street near Ferndale Avenue, according to a police statement. An unknown suspect pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to take property.

The suspect is described as a black male, 15 to 18 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 140 to 160 pounds with a slim build, with no facial hair, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, as well as black jeans and a backpack.
