Police Report: A Fight, Trespassing and Stabbing
Three facing charges in assault cases, say Herndon police.

In three recent cases, according to a press release, Herndon police arrested three people on assault charges:
- On Sunday, the police charged town resident Pedro Rivas, 31, with malicious wounding following a fight in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court. Rivas allegedly struck an unidentified individual, causing non-life-threatening injuries to his nose and face. Both subjects were known to each other, police said.
- On May 13, the police charged Catherine Jones, 38, of Fairfax, with two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer and one count of trespassing stemming from an incident in the 600 block of Legacy Pride Drive. Jones allegedly assaulted a police officer responding to the trespassing incident and was taken into custody. She later assaulted a second officer, police said.
- On May 12, an unidentified victim was stabbed with a sharp object while trying to break up a fight between two juvenile siblings in the 1200 block of Elden Street. The victim received a minor injury, and the police charged a 15-year-old Herndon juvenile with malicious wounding and attempted malicious wounding.
