When you are there at the college graduation it feels like you are in another world. You sit down and later they say to stand up because the graduates are coming. They all come in and sit down and all you see is the graduate’s hats. You have to sit through all that talking until they announced that they would have people speak to the graduates and audience. The people who talked won an award from the school and one from someone else not at the university for what they did. It was interesting at some times but other times it was very boring.
We got to see my teacher and also my mom graduate from the same school. In the second ceremony each person who graduated got to come up to the podium and get their diploma. When they got off the podium they took pictures with people. After the ceremony the university had refreshments outside of the stadium we were in for the graduation.
It takes a lot of your time but it is actually worth it going to a graduation because it makes you happy when you see other people happy. They will be happy because they are done with all the classes that they had to take. It is inspiring because you hear all the stories of some people and what they have to say about what it means to them. It helped me learn about some of the things that I might need to know (how to be brave and don’t give up). That is why you should go to a college graduation.
