• AG Jones reacts to stay order issued in Virginia's Assault Weapons Ban case (wavy.com) — A Lancaster County court judge has joined other Virginia and federal courts in granting a stay in the legal challenge to the state's assault weapons and large-capacity magazine ban, keeping the law in effect for now. Virginia's attorney general says the move ensures consistent handling of the cases while the U.S. Supreme Court reviews similar challenges, and argues the law is a constitutional, evidence-based response to gun violence.
