Attempted Abduction Of Teenage Girl Reported On Meade Drive SW In Leesburg: Police
Police are looking for more information as they investigate an attempted abduction of a teenage girl in southwest Leesburg on Wednesday.
LEESBURG, VA — Someone attempted to abduct a teenage girl in southwest Leesburg on Wednesday evening, according to the Leesburg Police Department. Now, authorities are looking to speak with anyone who may have more information about the incident.
Between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, the victim was walking on Meade Drive SW, police said. At one point, the victim was approached by a white woman in a white four-door sedan.
"The subject exited the vehicle and at one point grabbed the victim who was able to free herself," the police department wrote in a news release. The victim reported the incident to police on Thursday.

The police department did not say whether any injuries were reported by the victim. No further description of the abductor or her car was available.
Now, the Leesburg Police Department's Criminal Investigation Section is looking to speak with anyone who may have more information. In particular, they are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the event in person, or who has a camera, such as a Ring video doorbell, that could have recorded the abduction attempt.
