Balls Bluff Elementary School Student presented award for SAR Poster Contest

Awards for the annual SAR Elementary School Poster contest were presented to the winners at Balls Bluff Elementary School on Tuesday, June 9. The contest encourages students in grades 3-5 to create posters with a historic theme. This school year the theme was REVOLUTIONARY WAR EVENTS. The contest was led by the George Washington Chapter with the Sgt Maj John Champe selecting a chapter winner. The winner for this year was Hazel Winkler who received a check for $100 and a certificate. Forth grade teacher Ian Beichler coordinated the contest for Balls Bluff Elementary School.
