Loudoun Board Elects New Vice Chairman, Sets Meeting Schedule

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday elected Sterling District Supervisor Koran T. Saines as vice chairman.

LEESBURG, VA — The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors elected Sterling District Supervisor Koran T. Saines as vice chairman, a position in which he will perform the duties of chair in the absence of Board Chair Phyllis J. Randall. At the Jan. 7 meeting, the first of its new term, the board also set its monthly schedule of business meetings and public hearings.

The Loudoun board's business meetings will occur on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. Public hearings will be hold on the Wednesday of the week following the first business meeting of the month at 6 p.m. Public input at the board's business meetings will begin as early as 6 p.m. At the second business meeting of the month, an additional time of public input will be included at the beginning of the agenda at 5 p.m.

The board adjusted its meeting schedule due to a holiday and Election Day. It moved moved the Nov. 3 business meeting to Nov. 5 due to Election Day. And the board moved the Nov. 11 public hearing to Nov. 12 due to Veterans Day.

Board meetings are held in the board room of the Loudoun County Government Center at 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg. The meetings are available for viewing on television on Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40, and Verizon FiOS Channel 40 and by webcast.
