Loudoun County Seeks Public Comment On Stormwater Management Plan
Loudoun County is seeking public feedback on a plan designed to reduce pollutants going into the Chesapeake Bay.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — County officials are asking for public feedback on a plan designed to reduce pollutants entering the Chesapeake Bay. The plan draft — called the Phase II Chesapeake Bay TMDL Action Plan — outlines ways that the county intends to meet requirements for reducing the amount pollutants entering the bay via the county’s municipal storm sewer system.
A state permit required for the county to operate its municipal storm sewer system also requires the county to develop and implement a plan to improve impaired waterways in Virginia. The current plan draft builds on the first phase of the plan approved by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality in 2015.
The draft action plan is posted online at loudoun.gov/stormwater for review and public comment.
