Loudoun Offering Only Curbside In-Person Absentee Voting
For in-person absentee voting in the May town elections, Loudoun County is allowing only curbside voting at the Office of Elections.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration is encouraging voters to cast absentee ballots in the upcoming May elections in the towns of Hamilton, Lovettsville, Middleburg, Purcellville and Round Hill to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19. Absentee voting for the May 5 town elections begins Friday.
Because of the coronavirus crisis, Virginia is allowing anyone who wants to vote absentee in the May elections to choose the reason “2A-My disability or illness” for absentee voting. Voters who choose the absentee option should do so as soon as possible so they can get their ballots in time to return them by mail by election day, the Loudoun Office of Elections said. Voters may apply online for an absente ballot.
For in-person absentee voting in the May town elections, Loudoun County is allowing only curbside voting at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration, 750 Miller Drive SE in Leesburg. Upon arrival, signs will direct voters to contact election officials. Voters will not be permitted in the office to vote. However, voters do not have to apply in advance to vote absentee in person.

In-person absentee voting will take place Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The final day to vote an absentee ballot in person is May 2.

Loudoun election officials also want voters to call ahead at 703-777-0380 or email the office for an appointment if they need to conduct any business other than absentee voting or voter registration.
The deadline for online voter registration is 11:59 p.m. on April 13. The deadline for in-person voter registration is 5 p.m. on April 13 at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration. Voter registration applications will be available in the lobby and can be completed on-site and dropped off. Voter registration by mail must be postmarked no later than April 13.
