Man Assaulted On W&OD Trail In Leesburg: Police

LEESBURG, VA—Police are looking for an unknown man who attacked another man early Thursday in the 17000 block of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail and Dry Mill Road near the Loudoun 4H Fairgrounds, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He's described as 5-8 to 5-11 with a medium complexion and medium build. He was wearing black clothing.

Around 6 a.m., an assailant came from the right side of the victim and "struck him with a sharp object" before fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim suffered minor injuries. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-777-1021.
