Police: Maryland Man Went on Illegal Shopping Spree
He's facing shoplifting charges after he's found with clothing from Leesburg Corner.

A Maryland man is behind bars after Leesburg police pulled him over Monday and found more than $900 worth of clothing that he allegedly shoplifted from the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlet Mall.
Jeffrey T. Cannon, 54, of Hagerstown was arrested and charged with petit larceny and possession of burglarious tools, and he was ordered held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center pending arraignment, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

At about 4:26 p.m., Leesburg police were notified of a shoplifting that had just occurred from the Lacoste Store at the outlet mall. The suspect involved had left the scene in a vehicle.
A vehicle matching the description was located and stopped by officers in the area of Battlefield Parkway and Catoctin Circle NE, according to a police report.

The officers recovered multiple items of clothing worth a total of $923.36 from inside the vehicle that belonged to several different stores at the mall, the report said. In addition to the Lacoste Store, they recovered property belonging to Lids, Columbia, New Balance, Aeropostale, Jockey and Lucky Brand Jeans.
The police said they may file further charges regarding the additional items recovered.
