Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area at 5:20 p.m. The vehicle, a 2005 Ford three-axle dump truck pulling a 2015 Kaufman three-axle flatbed trailer, had been moving north towards Route 7.
The driver told the deputies that he lost control of the trailer, and it began crossing into the oncoming lane of Belmont Ridge Road. The driver drove the rig off the right side of the road to prevent the trailer from striking an oncoming car.
