Sometimes you just want to go into a store that smells good and sells pretty things and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you've had a stressful day at work, and that's what you're after, I highly recommend Rouge in downtown Leesburg.

Stepping into Rouge is instantly relaxing. Even if you're just stopping in to pick up your favorite shampoo, it feels like a treat. Owner Anita Henry cultivates this feeling by catering to her regulars; stocking what they like, and having items ready for them. But she also is great with newcomers and is quick with a recommendation.

My favorite thing about Rouge is it's one of the best places in Downtown Leesburg for gifts. Whether it's cosmetics, bubble bath, or even a makeup or handbag, you can find the perfect gift for any holiday.

Rouge is also surprising. When I first went in, I thought it was just a store that sold soaps and other pretty-smelling items. As I explored, I was impressed by the large makeup counter as well as the mirrors, accessories, and other larger items. But what really took me by surprise was the spa.

I had absolutely no clue that Rouge also had a two-level day spa. You can get everything from a manicure, to a massage, to even eyebrow tinting. They even do special occasion hair and makeup, which I've seen first-hand and was very impressed by.

The spa has your standard menu of services: massages, facials, etc., but they also have some unique options that you aren't going to find everywhere else. In addition to the aforementioned eyebrow and eyelash tinting, Rouge also offers an anti-fatigue leg treatment. This 25 minute treatment offers improved circulation and relief for tired joints.

They also offer lip and rosacea treatments, and even a scalp massage. Plus, Rouge just isn't for the ladies. They also offer a gentleman's manicure, as well as a men's foot treatment, and let's be honest: if you're a guy, you can probably benefit from that foot treatment, at the very least.
