Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter honors Patriot John Effinger

Patriot John Ignatius Effinger was honored by Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution at a ceremony at the Patriots grave at St. Paul's Reformed Church Cemetery in Woodstock, VA on May 31. The ceremony was sponsored by the Narrow Passage Chapter DAR who remarked Patriot Effinger after the first marking in 1976.

Patriot Effinger served in a company of Dragoons from Pennsylvania as a Sergeant, Corporal and Private. The company of Dragoons served in General George Washington's life Guards

Representing the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter was Ken Bonner, past President. Compatriot Bonner presented a wreath and fired a replica black powder flintlock rifle in the salute honoring patriot Effinger.
