On June 6, the Col.James Wood II chapter of Virginia SAR Sponsored a Revolutionary War Patriot grave marking for Casper Larrick at the Mt.Oliver United Methodist Church Cemetery in east Winchester, VA. Larrick emigrated from France. He served as a soldier in the Virginia Militia in Ohio territory, supplied provisions to the troops while living in Frederick County, VA and paid the Frederick County personal property tax in 1782.

The event was attended by virginia SAR President Darrin Schmidt. Virginia SAR Chapters participating included: George Mason, Culpeper Minutemen, and Sgt Maj John Champe. DAR chapters participating included: Fort Loudoun and Pack Horse Ford (WV). The Virginia Society Descendants of Washington's Army at Valley Forge also participated.

Sgt Maj John Champe member Barry Schwoerer participated in Color Guard and wreath presentations.
