Two Area High Schools on U.S. News 'Best High Schools' List

Find out which schools in Leesburg and Loudoun County made the cut in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.

Two high schools in the Loudoun area have been ranked among the 2015 ā€œBest High Schools in Nation,ā€ according to new rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

Released Tuesday, the 2015 rankings include data on more than 21,150 public high schools across the country. The list also included state rankings.

To determine the rankings, U.S. News used math and readings scores from state proficiency tests, as well as ā€œthe degree to which schools prepare students for college-level work,ā€ using Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate test data.

Virginia’s top school is Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria,according to U.S. News.
