Cabela's Opening in Gainesville: Outdoor Gear and Sporting Equipment Store Eyes Spring 2017 Opening
The store will hire 190 full and part-time employees.

Hunters, fishers and other outdoorsy people of the Manassas area will have a new place to pick up quality gear, starting in Spring of 2017.
Cabela’s Incorporated, a hunting, fishing and outdoor gear outfitter, announced today plans to open a store in Gainesville. The 79,000-square-foot property will be built on the intersection of Linton-Hall Road and Lee Highway.
The Gainesville store will be Cabela’s third Virginia location. The company expects to hire around 190 full and part-time employees from area.

“The fact that Cabela’s is bringing three new stores to Virginia speaks volumes to the outdoor opportunities and lifestyle in the state, as well as Virginians’ passion for the Cabela’s brand,” Tommy Millner, Cabela’s Chief Executive Officer, said in a press release.
The store itself is like an outdoor experience with a mountain replica, wildlife displays and an aquarium. Shoppers will be able to enjoy an indoor archery range, archery tech room, gun library, deli and fudge shop. Cabela’s big ticket items, like boats and tractors, will also be available.
