On the Roads

Around 7:22 a.m., the right shoulder of George Washington Parkway was blocked by a crash near Windy Run.

At 6:45 a.m., a right lane was blocked on eastbound Michigan Avenue NE near 4th Street.

At 7:35 a.m., a crash affected both directions of New York Avenue at North Capitol Street.

At 7:15 a.m., a crash on southbound I-395 blocked the right shoulder near Potomac Park.

Throughout the morning, a work zone blocked the off ramp from I-66 westbound to southbound VA-28. Drivers should follow the posted detours.

On the Metro

Blue Line service is not operating south of Reagan National Airport through Saturday due to Metro's Blue and Yellow Line construction. Shuttle buses and other alternatives are available. There is no Yellow Line service, with Blue and Green Line service replacing Yellow Line service.

Weather

High temperatures are expected to reach the low 70s on Friday for most of the region. There is some patchy morning fog that will be replaced by mostly sunny skies throughout the day.
