Heroin Charges in Operation 'Save a Life'
Suspects will be given an opportunity to seek treatment, according to Manassas City Police.

A joint task force across northern Virginia announced a new campaign Thursday, in an aggressive effort to combat heroin use and distribution.
The news came a day after 21 warrants were issued, including 9 individuals in custody.
Operation “Save a Life” includes detectives from the Prince William County-Manassas City-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force, as well as law enforcement from Fairfax County, Loudoun County, the City of Alexandria and Arlington County.

These operations include an education component and provide an avenue for those arrested to seek help for their addictions, according to Manassas City Police. Past operations have resulted in a total of over 150 arrests and the execution of approximately 30 subsequent searches.
Suspects arrested in these operations range in race, ethnicity and economic background, according to police, noting their ages have ranged from 17 to 60.
