Intruder Awakens Residents Of Home In Bristow: Police

Two people sleeping were suddenly jolted awake by the sound of footsteps on a staircase inside their Bristow home: PWC Police.

BRISTOW, VA—Two people sleeping were suddenly jolted awake Wednesday night by the sound of footsteps on a staircase inside their home in the 13100 block of Scottish Hunt Lane, according to Prince William County Police.

Officers went to the home shortly after 2:30 a.m. for a reported burglary in progress. The homeowners said they were asleep in an upstairs bedroom when they heard the sound of someone running down the stairs to the basement.

Police found several doors open but no intruder was found and there were no signs of forced entry. However, a key was reported missing.
