Legislators to Visit Manassas City Council, Discuss Schools

Senator Charles Colgan and Delegate Jackson Miller will join the council and school board for a tour of local schools beforehand.

The Manassas City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday, Dec. 2 to discuss legislative priorities for city schools. Senator Charles Colgan and Delegate Jackson Miller will join the council and the City of Manassas School Board in a tour of Weems Elementary School, 8750 Weems Road, and Osbourn High School, 9005 Tudor Lane to review the TAG, Avid and Digital Learning programs.

After the tour, city council members, the senator, the delegate and the school board will meet at Carmello’s restaurant, 9108 Center St., to discuss legislative priorities for the schools.

Update: This article originally left the school board out of city discussions and listed the Prince William County school’s list of priorities for next school year. The Manassas City School Board will be meeting with legislators and the council.
