Manassas Man Charged In Thanksgiving Day Shooting: Police
A Manassas man was arrested Friday and charged with attempted malicious wounding in connection with a shooting on Thanksgiving Day.

MANASSAS, VA — A Manassas man was arrested Friday and charged with attempted malicious wounding in connection with a shooting on Thanksgiving Day, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Last Thursday around 3:10 p.m., Prince William County officers went to the 10200 block of Jamaica Lane in the Manassas area to investigate a report of gunshots. The police learned that an altercation occurred in the area before the suspect, Gabriel Elias Cancinos Porter, 19, allegedly fired a round toward two acquaintances.
Cancinos Porter fled the area in a vehicle before police arrived on the scene, the police said. No injuries or property damage were reported.

On Friday, police officers saw a vehicle matching the description parked in the 10900 block of Tower Place and contacted the driver, Cancinos Porter, who was determined to be the accused.
Cancinos Porter was taken into custody without incident and charged with attempted malicious wounding, the police said.
