Manassas November 2025 Election Voter Guide: Candidates, How To Vote

Manassas and Prince William County voters will cast ballots for local and state races. Here's what voters need to know on Nov. 4.

MANASSAS, VA — On Tuesday, voters in Manassas and Prince William County will cast their ballots in the November general election for state and local races. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. across Virginia on Nov. 4.

City of Manassas voters will have commissioner of revenue, treasurer, Virginia governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and Virginia House of Delegates 20th District on the ballot.

Prince William County voters will have Virginia governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general as well as a Virginia House of Delegates seat on the ballot. The Town of Occoquan has a special election for a Town Council seat. Gainesville District voters will have a special election for Gainesville District supervisor after the death of Supervisor Bob Weir.

In the governor's race, Democrat Abigail Spanberger and Republican Winsome Earle-Sears are running. Democrat Ghazala Hashmi and Republican John Reid are running for lieutenant governor, and Democrat Jay Jones and Republican incumbent Jason Miyares are running for attorney general.

The Virginia House of Delegates 20th District election — covering the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park and part of Prince William County — is unopposed after Republican Christopher Stone dropped out. Democrat Michelle Maldonado is running for re-election, and Republican Stephen Kent has a write-in campaign.

In Prince William County, competitive House of Delegates races include the 21st and 22nd House of Delegates Districts. In the 21st, Democrat Del. Joshua Thomas is seeking re-election against Republican Gregory Gorham. In the 22nd District, Republican Del. Ian Lovejoy seeks re-election against former Democratic Del. Elizabeth Guzman.

Another competitive Prince William County election is the Gainesville District special election to replace the late Weir. Republican Patrick Harders and Democrat George Stewart are running.

The deadline for voter registration or updating your information was Oct. 24. However, same-day registration available in Virginia beyond the registration deadline allows voters to cast a provisional ballot. Check your registration status through the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal.

How to Vote

To vote on Election Day, head to your assigned polling place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Use the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal to find your polling place. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person.

In the City of Manassas, voters with limitations can vote curbside or request assistance in the polling place. Contact the Manassas Office of Voter Registration VoterRegistration@ci.manassas.va.us or 703-257-8230 to report polling place accessibility problems.

The Prince William County Office of Elections says people with disabilities and seniors can vote curbside. Voters can pull up to the designated parking spaces at their polling place, and polling place workers will assist.

Some voters already cast ballots through early voting or mail-in ballots. Early in-person voting ran through Nov. 1. The deadline to return a mail ballot is 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 4 and received by on the Friday following the election. Completed ballots can be returned by mail or other methods offered by your locality's elections office in the City of Manassas or Prince William County.

What's on the Ballot

City of Manassas voters should refer to the sample ballot covering the city. In Prince William County, voters should refer to the Prince William County Office of Elections for the sample ballots in their precinct. To check your district and assigned precinct, use the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal.
