PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — When Alice and Glenn Bertrand, Sr. came across a property in Nokesville, they initially intended it to be their retirement home. But looking more at the historic barn on the property gave them a vision to turn it into a space that could attract agro-tourism.
So begins the story of the Diamond Farm Winery and Brewery, a Black-owned business that will become Prince William County's newest winery and brewery. A ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, April 19 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and a grand opening will be held Sunday, April 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., according to Visit Prince William County. The property is located at 14170 Owl's Nest Road, Nokesville, VA.

Due to capacity limits, the ribbon cutting and grand opening are only open to registered guests. Both events are sold out.
The transformation of the historic barn was in capable hands, as Glenn Bertrand, Sr., Glenn Bertrand, Jr., and Valetta Bertrand-Baker are all licensed Class A builders and own Diamond’s Management Group, Inc., according to the property's website. The Bertrand family worked on turning the property into a space for the public to try wine and beer, enjoy the scenery, and attend special events like birthdays, weddings, corporate parties and more.
