Still Sleighing." Whether you're artistic, handy, or just love community projects, signing up connects you with neighbors and gives you a direct hand in shaping a beloved Manassas holiday tradition.
   

4. Giving Back Award Nominee: CFH Creates Foundations for Hope (princewilliamliving.com) — A Manassas-based nonprofit, CFH, is being honored for decades of work helping local residents stay housed, from rescuing East End Mobile Home Park to running a Mobile Food Pantry that now serves thousands. The group also supports seniors, renters, and first-time homebuyers across Manassas and greater Prince William, and residents are invited to nominate CFH or other local nonprofits for the 2026 Giving Back Award.
   

5. 160 years later, unknown Union soldier to be buried at Arlington (tucson.com) — A Union soldier who died as a teenager at the Second Battle of Manassas will finally receive a formal burial at Arlington National Cemetery more than 160 years later. Archaeologists recently uncovered his remains at Manassas National Battlefield Park, where local historians emphasize honoring every soldier's story tied to this pivotal Civil War site near today's Manassas.
