Police: Daylight Robbery Occurred Near Railroad Tracks

The two suspects in Tuesday's heist are at large, say Manassas police.

The Manassas police are looking for two men who robbed a local woman Tuesday afternoon near the railroad tracks just west of the city’s Old Town area.

The victim sustained minor injuries, the police said. Both of the suspects are described as Hispanic men; one suspect is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds, and has short brown hair. He was wearing khaki shorts and a white tank top, the police said.

The other suspect is described as 32 to 37 years old and 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a gold necklace with no charm.

The police met with the victim, who is 38, at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, shortly after the robbery occurred. The victim told them that she was walking south on Stonewall Road near the railroad tracks when she saw the two men walking towards her from the tracks. They approached her and demanded money, the police said.

When the victim refused, the suspects threw her to the ground and stole an undisclosed amount of money from her wallet, the police said. They then walked southeast towards Wellington Road and Prince William Street.
