Prince William County Man Wins $100,000 Playing Powerball
Amit Broka, who won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery, said he may use his winnings to buy a new car to replace his 2006 vehicle.

BRISTOW, VA — A Bristow man won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery after playing the June 3 Powerball drawing. Amit Broka matched four balls plus the Powerball number, which would normally win $50,000. But he spent an extra dollar for Power Play when he bought his ticket, which doubled his prize to $100,000.
Broka bought his ticket at the Sheetz at 11627 Nokesville Road in Bristow. He used Easy Pick and allowed the computer to randomly select his numbers. The winning numbers for that drawing were 1-3-26-41-64, and the Powerball number was 17, according to the Virginia Lottery.
“I got lucky last night,” he told the Virginia Lottery as he redeemed his winning ticket on June 4.
