Woman Brutally Attacked In Manassas: Police

Authorities are looking for a man who viciously attacked a woman Wednesday afternoon in Manassas: Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA—Authorities are looking for a man who viciously attacked a woman Wednesday afternoon in the 10600 block of Provincial Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Ephram Braike Woldeselassie, 31, of the aforementioned address, is described as black, 5-10, 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., police went to the apartment for a reported assault. The woman, 44, said she and Woldeselassie, an acquaintance, were involved in an argument that escalated. That's when, police say, he pushed her to the ground, punched her and then grabbed her by the neck and choked her.

When she tried to use her cell phone to call police, he took it. She finally was able to contact police, and he fled before they arrived. Minor injuries were reported. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
