At about midnight Monday, city police responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 9200 Centreville Road for a report of a robbery in progress. Officers arrived as the suspect, David W. Campbell (in photo above), was exiting the store with a bag of prescriptions, the report said.
Campbel dropped the bag and fled on foot, but he was apprehended quickly and without incident by officers, the report said. A store employee told officers that Campbell had implied he had a gun, but no weapons were displayed and no assault took place during the incident.
