• Wytheville Community College Board to meet Sept. 17 (statesville.com) — Residents of Marion and Smyth County are invited to a public Wytheville Community College Board meeting on Thursday, September 17, at 6 p.m. in Galax. The college, which specifically serves Marion and surrounding areas, will conduct regular business under state and local board policies, and anyone wishing to speak can sign up 15 minutes before the meeting.
