1 Killed On GW Parkway Crash In McLean

MCLEAN, VA — A driver died in a single-vehicle crash on the George Washington Memorial Parkway in the McLean area Sunday, Aug. 11.

U.S. Park Police responded to the crash between Route 123 and the Capital Beltway around 5:45 a.m. Sunday, NBC4 reported. Police believe the driver's vehicle went off the road. The vehicle was found in the woods, and the driver was pronounced dead on the scene, according to WTOP. The driver has not been identified.

No one else was in the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
