$100K In High-End Purses Swiped From Tysons Galleria Store: Photos

MCLEAN, VA — Detectives from the McLean Police District released photos on Thursday of four of six suspects they say were involved in the theft of $100,000 in high-end merchandise from a store in the Tysons Galleria in June. Police are asking the public to help identify the people in the photos.

Fairfax County Police detectives were alerted around 3:42 p.m. on June 25 to the report of a commercial robbery at a high-end retail store in 2000 block of International Drive.

A preliminary investigation revealed that two men and three women entered the store and grabbed numerous handbags, according to police. One of the men sprayed store security employees with a fire extinguisher to help cover the group's escape. No one was injured during the robbery.

The three women and two men jumped into a white Alfa Romeo driven by an unknown person and they left the scene, according to police. Investigators believe that the group are using the same car and stolen or altered license plates.
