21 Students at McLean's Potomac School To Play Sports At College Level
The 21 students at The Potomac School who will be playing varsity sports in college make up 18 percent of the 2023 graduating class.

MCLEAN, VA — The Potomac School held a ceremony to celebrate the 21 students from the 2023 graduating class who have announced plans to play sports at the college level.
At the May 24 ceremony, the students, along with their families, coaches and faculty, gathered in the Spangler Center for Athletics and Community in McLean to celebrate their accomplishments.
The 21 college-bound athletes make up 18 percent of Potomac’s 2023 graduating class. Nationwide, a little over 6 percent of high school athletes play a varsity sport in college.

“We are proud to have so many Potomac athletes represent our core values as they move forward,” Maggie Vaughan, interim director of athletics at The Potomac School, said in a statement.

The Potomac School is a private coeducational day school with 1,066 students in grades K-12.
