Ashburn-based Aperiomics is on a winning streak. CEO and co-founder Dr. Crystal Icenhour and her biotechnology company were named by "Established" (founders of media company Tech.Co) and the Consumer Technology Association “2018 Startup of the Year.” Icenhour, with trophy, is seen here celebrating the win at company HQ with part of her team, from left, Robb Milne, director sales and marketing; Alex Larsen, bioinformaticist; Dr. Alvin (Yuan) Chen, chief technology officer; Wynemah Fuller, director of operations; and and Nicole Seal, clinical service manager.

This week, Icenhour was named among DCA’s annual list of "New Power Women of DC Tech" in recognition for her work in building a company in the capital region that is a national leader in biotechnology.
