Armed Teenager Arrested In McLean

MCLEAN, VA—A teenager that robbed a man at gunpoint didn't make it too far before police found him Tuesday.

Around 11:19 p.m. the suspect approached the victim's car in the 7300 block of Dartford Drive. He displayed a gun and demanded the victim's wallet. The suspect fled after the victim handed it over.

With a suspect description, police spotted the suspect Fairfax County helicopter, and officers on the ground arrested the suspect.

The boy was taken to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His name is not being released.
