Be Fit McLean Event Debuts In January
The McLean Community Center is introducing a new event for residents working on health-minded new year's resolutions.
MCLEAN, VA — It isn't uncommon for new year's resolutions to be centered around health and fitness. That's why the McLean Community Center is introducing a new event to help people work toward their goals. Be Fit McLean Health & Wellness Fair will happen from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
The free event provides information, testing and health-enhancing experiences. It covers various forms of healthy living from fitness and dance to nutrition, mental health and wellbeing.
Exhibitors from local health services and Fairfax County Government offices will be at the health and wellness fair. Attractions include health screenings provided by Virginia Hospital Center; lectures on health-related topics such as coping with stress, time management and sleep education; a relaxation room with massage chairs and aromatherapy; clean eating cooking demonstrations and interactive exercise demonstrations of yoga, Body Sculpt, Total Fitness, Aerobic Dance, Tai Chi and others.
